P.I. Works Listed Among the Top 100 ICT Companies in Turkey

The results of the “ICT 500 - Turkey’s Top 500 ICT Companies” research have been announced with a ceremony on July 12, 2017 with the attendance of the President of the ICT Regulatory Authority and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications. 

Now in its 18th year, the ICT 500 research is a reference point for businesses, technology companies, government authorities and investors, providing visibility on the evolution of Turkey ICT market and where it stands in the global ICT landscape. 

Owing to its fast-paced growth driven by new project wins worldwide, P.I. Works ranked 91st in the list of the biggest ICT companies based on its 2016 revenue, whereas it had ranked 112th in 2015. P.I. Works also ranked 1st in the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence software category and is listed among the top 5 companies in the combined Software and Services Export category.

According to Gartner’s global ICT market research shared in ICT 500 report, the ICT spending grew only 0.4% in US dollar in 2016. The low growth rate is mainly due to the decline in the communication services as well as consumer and enterprise hardware spending. On the other software and services spending showed strong growth performance. The report indicates that the companies that are able to keep up with the speed of innovation triggered by cloud, big data and mobility are the ones will remain competitive and drive market transformation. A similar trend is also available in the Turkey’s ICT market. The local ICT landscape is changing at a tremendous pace and some remarkable changes are happening at the innovation frontier. ICT companies are increasingly focusing on building capabilities in value added ICT services and software solutions and the Turkish government is providing significant incentives to drive the industry growth and foster global technology leaders.
